In Pastoral Counseling

The Doctor of Theology in Pastoral Counseling (ThD) prepares persons for the ministry of pastoral counseling at the doctoral level by combining rigorous academic and theological work with supervised clinical practice. The degree is an equivalent of the PhD, designed for those whose interest in pastoral counseling is primarily professional.

The Master of Arts in Christian Education program provides biblical and theological education for those anticipating a vocations as ministers of Christian education, children’s workers, ministers of youth, parachurch youth leaders, ministers of adults, directors of family life education, administrators or teachers in Christian higher education, Christian school teachers and administrators, or women’s ministry leaders.

Master Of Divinity  (MDiv)

The Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree is a comprehensive graduate theological program covering a wide range of general and specialized subjects, designed to prepare students for service in the Church. The curriculum is centered around the vision of Christ’s Church as the people of God—a living, worshiping, witnessing community, within which faith is nurtured and through which Christ is served in the world.

Doctor Of Ministry

( 36 Semester Hours)

The Doctor of Ministry offers theological education on Scripture, engagement with the living Christian tradition, and attention to and reflection on contemporary contexts in order to provide formation for leaders of faithful Christian ministries.

Phillips School of Theology offers over 160 courses which are divided into four (4) general areas of study. We also offer additional programs of study and learning opportunities that range from Extended Education Programs to Communal Learning Opportunities through the Interdenominational Theological Center.
